The word please here fortifies John's appeal that Yoko not let him down. He is pleased to have met his other half - his soul mate. “She really done me,” and “ She done me good,” appear to be completely sexual, but knowing John's penchant for deeper lyrical meanings, I'm sure he is citing that Yoko has done him good in all aspects of their relationship. He just needs to know if Yoko is just as eager for this “forever” love - a love that has “no past.”Īnd from the first time that she really done me, John is experiencing his first true love with a woman, and wonders, “Don't you know it's going to last.” He is immersing himself in this love, and realizes he will do all he can on his end to make it last.
